EVENT SUMMARY FROM THE NWS
A coastal storm will bring impacts to our area late today through Saturday:
Coastal Flooding: Moderate coastal flooding is possible for southern portions of Delaware along the Bay and Delaware Beaches, the New Jersey shore, immediate back bays, and the southern shores of the Raritan Bay. Minor coastal flooding is possible along the northern shores of the Delaware Bay and tidal portions of the Delaware River.
Winds: Wind gusts up to 50 mph are expected along the southern shores of the Raritan Bay and the northern and central New Jersey Atlantic Shore. There is a chance for gusts up to 60 mph right along the shore in Monmouth and Ocean Counties. Elsewhere, gusts up to 40 mph are possible, primarily for coastal locations and higher elevations.
Marine: Gale force winds expected on all waters. There is a chance for storm force winds primarily for the northern and central New Jersey coastal waters.
Heavy rain: The threat for heavy rain leading to flooding is limited, but some localized roadway flooding is possible tonight into Saturday morning
