Sheriff Richard J Behnke reports on 10/24/18 at 5:26 P.M., his deputies responded to a two car crash on US12 east of M217, Porter Township, Cass County, MI. The driver of the GMC Yukon, Daniel Floyd(52 years old of Jones, MI) was eastbound on US12 behind a Ford Focus driven by Victoria Hickey(40 years old, of Union, MI). Hickey was waiting to turn into a driveway, off of US12 with her blinker on, when Floyd attempted to pass her on the right and struck the back passenger bumper of her vehicle. Hickey was transported to Elkhart General Hospital, by Porter Ambulance, for minor injuries. Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in this crash and seatbelts were worn.
