Police activity near US 50 and Spring Street has ended. No action required. 
At approximately 11 pm on Monday night an unidentified male fled on foot from El Dorado Sheriff's Deputies near US 50 and Canal Street last seen in the are of Spring Street north of US 50. An extensive search of the area with the assistance of Placerville Police, CHP Helicopter, and Canine units searched the area and are confident the subject is no longer in the area.
As a general safety reminder residents should always lock and secure outside access points to homes, Sheds, garages, and vehicle's. Be vigilant and report suspicious activity.
