Cases of Community Interest

Multiple Vehicles Burglarized
On the night of October 18th between 11:30 pm and 6 am the following day, 12 different vehicles were burglarized in an off-street parking garage of an apartment building on the 2000 block of Durant Avenue.
 
Drug Dealer Arrested
On October 19th at 12:38 pm (during BHS lunch period), an officer spotted a vehicle parked in the reserved parking in the rear of City Hall.  With smoke noticeably emanating from the vehicle, the officer contacted the occupants and discovered they were smoking marijuana.  When officers searched the vehicle, they discovered 75 Xanax pills, 20 Hydrocodone pills, 6 Oxycodone pills, a digital scale, and over $1000 cash.  The driver (Isiah Rice, Male, 27 years old, Berkeley, CA) was arrested for suspicion of possessing controlled substance for sale (felony).

Liquor Store Robbed
On October 20th at 3:44 pm, two masked suspects robbed a liquor store on the 2800 block of Sacramento Street at gunpoint.  The suspects took cash and liquor and ran out of the store.  There were no reported injuries.

Snatch and Grab
On October 21st at 3:41 pm, two suspects ran out of a sporting goods store on 1300 block of San Pablo Avenue with over $1000 worth of jackets.  The suspects were described as two African American men, 20-25 years old, wearing dark clothing.

Street Robbery
On October 21st at 5 pm, a teen was robbed in the in the area of Russell Street and Milvia Street as he walked through the area.  Threatening to shoot the victim, the suspect demanded money from him.  The suspect was described as African American male, about 15-16 years old, wearing a dark colored jacket and light colored jeans.
