Incident Summary:
 
On Saturday, October 20, 2018 at approximately 1:47 am, Petaluma Police Officers were called to Putnam Plaza on Petaluma Blvd North in downtown Petaluma on a report of six subjects fighting.  Upon arrival, the first responding officer was directed by the crowd who pointed out Juan Maunel Flores-Machuca as the aggressor in the fight. 
 
The officer attempted to contact Flores-Machuca who acknowledged the officer’s presence and began walking away.  As the officer ordered him to stop, Flores-Machuca took off running.  Flores-Machuca was caught on Kentucky Street and taken into custody without incident.  Officers were unable to locate a victim on an assault.
 
Flores-Machuca was found to be on three separate probations for theft and drug related offenses.  Flores was arrested for 1203.2 PC; Violation of Probation and 148(a)(1) PC; Resisting Arrest.  Flores-Machuca was transported and booked into the Sonoma County Jail.
