DROP, COVER, AND HOLD ON! Annual International “ShakeOut Drill” – Thursday, October 18, 2018 at 10:18 A.M.

Tomorrow, Thursday, October 18th at 10:18 A.M., millions of people will “Drop, Cover, and Hold On” during the International Great ShakeOut Drill, the world's largest earthquake drill.

Everyone is encouraged to participate and inform others about the drill: Talk to a neighbor; text a friend; send a quick email to someone at work; share information and links on your Facebook page. Whatever you can do to inspire preparedness, make it count on #ShakeOut day, Thursday, October 18th.

Earthquakes can happen anywhere: at home, at work, at school, EVEN WHILE ON VACATION! ShakeOut is a chance to prepare yourself, your family, and your organization by practicing protective actions to take during earthquakes and many other aspects of your emergency plans.

Visit ShakeOut.org online to find out more about how you can be better prepared for earthquakes. ShakeOut has many, many resources not only for tomorrow’s drill, but also for planning and preparedness actions for your home, workplace, school, church community and much more.

If you’re on social media, follow @ShakeOut on Twitter and Facebook for useful information and other reminders about earthquake preparedness.
