Javior Thomas & Rafeal Smith arrested for residential burglary at the Monterrey Pines Apartments in Loma Linda

DATE/TIME: Tuesday, October 16, 2018 3:00 p.m.

INCIDENT: Residential Burglary, PC 459

LOCATION: Monterrey Pines Apartments, 25700 Van Lueven St., Loma Linda

SUSPECT(S): Javior Anthony Thomas, 25 years of age resident of San Bernardino; Rafeal Smith, 26 years of age resident of San Bernardino


SUMMARY:
On Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at approximately 3:00 p.m., Javior Thomas and Rafeal Smith of San Bernardino burglarized a residence at the Monterrey Pines Apartments while the victim was not home. A witness reported the suspects broke a window and entered the apartment. Central Station deputies located the suspects leaving the complex in a red Jaguar sedan. Deputies arrested the suspects and recovered the victim's stolen property.

Investigators believed Thomas and Smith were responsible for several residential burglaries in cities of Grand Terrace and Loma Linda based on the preliminary investigation.

Thomas is on active parole for burglary and Smith is on active San Bernardino County Probation for burglary. Thomas and Smith were booked at the Central Detention Center for residential burglary and possession of stolen property.
