On October 10th the Millstadt Police Department took several vehicle burglary reports, and one burglary to garage report, in the Alpine Trails, Alpine Meadows, and Regency Place neighborhoods. The suspects gained entry into several unlocked vehicles. Through an investigation, three persons of interest were identified. At this time, one individual has been charged. On October 12th the St. Clair County State's Attorney's Office charged the defendant, Cody J. Sale, age 18 of Belleville, with the following:
Count 1: Burglary (for knowingly entering a motor vehicle with the intent to commit a theft). A Class 3 Criminal Felony, Category A Offense.
Count 2 & Count 3: Unlawful Use of Credit Card (for twice unlawfully using a stolen credit card from the burglary, at a gas station in Belleville).
His bond was set at $50,000.
