9/30 - 2:00 a.m. - A Millstadt Officer attempted to stop a motorcycle, at West Gooding Street & North Jefferson Street. The motorist fled, and the Officer discontinued attempting to stop him. The individual was later arrested at his home, in rural Millstadt, with the assistance of the St. Clair County Sheriff's Department. The St. Clair County State's Attorney's Office charged the defendant, Jonathan E. Traiteur, age 27 of Millstadt, with the following:
Count 1: Aggravated Fleeing or Attempting to Elude a Police Officer (due to travelling at least 21 miles over the legal speed limit). A Class 4 Criminal Felony, Category B Offense.
Count 2: Fleeing and Attempting to Elude a Police Officer. A Class A Traffic, Category A Offense.
Count 3: Driving While Driver's License Is Revoked. A Class A Traffic, Category B Offense.
His bond was set at $20,000.
