Harris County Sheriff’s Office Homicide investigators need the public’s help in locating 35-year old Cedrick Jamia Rideau wanted for the murder of a woman in north Harris County.

On Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at approximately 8:30 a.m., HCSO District 1 deputies responded to a shooting at the Portofino Landing Apartment’s located at 910 Cypress Station.

Upon arrival they located the body of the victim, a 36 year old black female, deceased from an apparent gunshot wound to the head.

Deputies spoke with several witnesses who indicated they observed the victim in a verbal argument with a Rideau prior to the shooting.

The witnesses also indicated that he was observed fleeing the scene through the complex and jumping a fence.

Rideau was seen getting into an older model dark color Saturn immediately after the shooting.

Homicide investigators responded to the scene and conducted an investigation.

Investigators later filed murder charges on Cedrick Rideau for the shooting death of the victim.

Rideau is considered armed and dangerous.
