Cases of Community Interest

Below are a few cases over the past few days that may be of the community's interest.
 
Indecent Exposure
On October 1st between 3:30 pm and 4 pm, an unknown man exposed himself while making lewd comments to some female high school students.

The suspect is described as white male with a beard, in his 50's, 5'08" tall, with a skinny build and brown/wavy shoulder length hair.  The suspect was wearing a light brown or beige men's dress suit jacket with matching colored dress pants. The jacket had stains on the shoulders and collar area as if from a liquid. The suspect was not wearing a shirt or underwear.

Gun Recovered during Car Stop
On October 12th at 9 pm, officers conducted a traffic stop at 66th Street and Acton Street.  During the traffic stop, officers discovered two firearms and a bag of powder cocaine.  The two occupants were arrested.

Felony Battery
On October 13th 12:10 am, a woman was walking on Hillegass—approaching Dwight Way when an unknown suspect ran up to her and started hitting her in the arm with a crowbar.  The suspect left soon after, but was described as a 26-27 year old man with a dark complexion, thin build, short dreads, and wearing dark clothing.

Recent Robberies
On October 12th at 10:19 pm, a man was robbed on Arch Street (just south of Hilgard Avenue) by three suspects.  All three suspects were described as in their 20’s, approximately 5’10”, wearing baggy clothing and hats--two of the suspects armed with knives.

On October 13th between 2:30 am-3:30 am, a man and woman were robbed at gunpoint while they were sleeping in their car on the 2500 block of Haste.  The suspect was described as man in his 30’s, wearing dark clothing.

On October 13th at 9:15 pm, a man was robbed in the area of Arch and Virginia Street by three suspects.  Two suspects exited a car (being driven by a third suspect) armed with knives and demanded the victim’s property.  The suspects were described as in their 20’s, approximately 5’10” tall, wearing baggy clothing and hats.

We later learned that just prior to Arch and Virginia robbery, there was another robbery (attempt) in the area of Berryman Street and MLK Jr Way. In this case, two suspects jumped out of a sedan and approached the victim. The victim ran away until the suspects stopped chasing him.

On October 14th at 2:05 am, a man was walking westbound on Allston Way (just east of Milvia Street) when two suspects approached him.  Armed with knives, the suspects demanded the victim’s property. The suspects were described as in their 20’s, approximately 5’7”, and both wearing hats.

On October 14th at 2:15 pm, a suspect tried to rob a woman while she was walking on Acton Street (towards Prince Street).  The suspect tried to rip the woman’s cell phone from her hands, but she was able to hold on to it.  The suspect was described as a 13-14 year old boy, with a thin build, dark complexion, dark clothing, riding a bicycle.

On October 15th at 12:56 am, a man was robbed on Parker Street just east of College Avenue.  According to the victim, two suspects put a knife to his throat and took his backpack.  The suspects were described as two men, 30-35 years old, one with a mustache and the other wearing a hooded sweatshirt.

On October 15th at 10:40 pm, a women was robbed on the 1600 block of Oxford Street.  In this case, two suspects robbed the victim—one of them armed with a knife.  The suspects were described as male, in their twenties.
