PennDot continues work on the replacement of the bridge on Cumberland Street (Rt. 422W), just west of Eighth Avenue. On Monday, October 15, the crew will begin work on the south lane of Cumberland Street. There will be width restrictions and PennDOT will be providing a protected pedestrian crossing. It is anticipated that the work on the structure will be completed in December and both lanes of traffic will be open. The contractor will return in Spring 2019 to complete final paving.
