**Special Message from the Fremont Police Community Engagement Unit**

Good Evening,
The community engagement unit wanted to send a reminder to you all about removing items from your vehicle when leaving them unattended. The Fremont Police Department is currently noticing the trend moving into the residential areas for vehicle break-ins. To prevent you and your neighbors from being possibly victimized we would like to suggest the following when leaving your vehicle parked by your home:

  1. Roll up windows completely.
  2. Lock all vehicle doors including trunk.
  3. Do not leave keys, gate, or garage door openers in the car.
  4. Do not leave any belongings inside vehicles. Some examples include:
    1. Wallets
    2. Laptops
    3. Fastraks
    4. Loose coins
In addition to this reminder please understand you may contact the police department if you see any suspicious activity. By calling
(510)790-6800 ext.3 or text a tip to 888777.
