On October 11, 2018, the Simi Valley Police Department's Property Crimes Unit concluded a lengthy high dollar embezzlement investigation. Based on evidence discovered during this investigation, investigators determined that Tara Elaine Nykoluk (42 yrs) of Simi Valley had embezzled nearly $400,000 from T&M Plumbing over a five year period.

Mrs. Nykoluk was employed as a bookkeeper for the plumbing company and during that time she was able to unlawfully steal a large amount of money from the family owned plumbing company. Evidence revealed that Mrs. Nykoluk used these ill-gotten gains for personal trips, funding events for her children’s baseball teams, and other personal items.

Mrs. Nykoluk was contacted at her Simi Valley residence and arrested without incident. She was transported to the Ventura County Main Jail where she was booked on six counts of grand theft and one count of computer access fraud.
