Flood Warning until 05:30PM

The National Weather Service in Greenville-Spartanburg has issued a

* Flood Warning for... Central Henderson County in western North Carolina...

* Until 530 PM EDT Thursday.

* At 1125 AM EDT, Stream gages reported ongoing flooding from Hendersonville to Fletcher, and after a 6 inch rainfall, excessive runoff will result in many streams and creeks in the French Broad basin remaining out of their banks all afternoon.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include... Hendersonville, Flat Rock, Mountain Home, Laurel Park, Valley Hill, Dana, Gerton, Edneyville, Crab Creek and East Flat Rock.

* AFFECTED AREAS: HENDERSON, NC

Instructions:

Numerous roads, parking lots and bridges will be threatened by heavy runoff rising streams and creeks. Please pay close attention to road signs indicating a flood-prone area. Obey all barricades, even if water is not currently over the road. Barricades are in place for your protection and indicate areas where flooding can occur rapidly and without warning.
