Reg. sex offenders. Are they living in your neighborhood? Here's where to go to get your questions answered.
Sex offenders may live in all communities and that includes Sheboygan. If you are interested in learning more about which offenders are living near you then please visit the Wisconsin Department of Corrections Sex Offender website located at https://appsdoc.wi.gov/public. The geographical search function of the website allows you to get information about offenders living in your area. In addition to that under the FAQ and Resources tabs will be a lot of information that may answer your questions about the registry and the rules for sex offenders in Wisconsin.
In addition to the rules defined in state laws, Sheboygan also has an ordinance that requires some sex offenders to ask for permission to live within our community. These waivers are considered at the Licensing, Hearings, and Public Safety Committee meetings normally held twice a month. For more information on when and where the meetings are held or what is on the agenda for the committee please visit the City of Sheboygan’s website. http://publicweb.ci.sheboygan.wi.us/AgendaMinutes/Committees/Show-Committees-Table.aspx
