Fire Prevention Week
Today the Monmouth Junction Volunteer Fire Department will be having an open house in celebration of Fire Prevention Week on Saturday October 6th from 1 PM to 4 PM at their fire station at 573 Ridge Road in Monmouth Junction. There will be fire safety displays, fire trucks to explore, demonstrations by firefighters, refreshments, and prizes for those that complete our scavenger hunt.
The Kingston Volunteer Fire Company will be having an open house on Sunday October 7th from 12 Noon to 3 PM at their fire station at 8 Heathcote Brook Road in Kingston. There will be fire equipment demonstrations, a Fire Safety House, bounce house, door prizes, refreshments and more.

Police take 3rd Place While Raising Funds
A dozen South Brunswick Officers took part in a fundraiser for Garden State Concerns for Police Survivors yesterday in Jackson. The South Brunswick team finished 3rd in a paintball championship beating out a handful of other police departments. The funds raised form the event will go to provide resources to assist in the rebuilding of the lives of surviving families and affected co-workers of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty.
