*UPDATE* #LASD Homicide Detectives Responded to Shooting Death Investigation, Alameda St and El Segundo Blvd, LA
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau Detectives are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding a shooting death of a Male Black adult. The incident occurred on Friday October 5, 2018 at approximately 5:43 p.m., on the 2400 block of El Segundo Boulevard, Los Angeles.
Detectives have learned that Century Station Deputies responded to the location regarding an assault with a deadly weapon call. Upon their arrival they located multiple shell casings on the 2400 block of El Segundo Boulevard, and learned the victim entered a vehicle which drove away. Deputies discovered the vehicle and the victim near the corner of El Segundo and Alameda Street. The victim sustained at least one gunshot wound to the upper torso. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
There is no suspect information at this time.
There is no known motive and it is unknown if this is gang related.
The investigation is still ongoing.
