The Imperial Beach Sheriff's Substation will be hosting an Emergency Response Training with members of the South Bay Union School District and the Imperial Beach Fire Department.

The training exercise will involve amplified sound and patrol vehicles responding with lights and sirens. People who live or work near the school need not be concerned about the extra presence of deputies, firefighters, paramedics and emergency vehicles. IT IS ONLY A DRILL.

There will be road signs informing the public of the training. Public notification will also be done through the Sheriff's Department's Twitter accounts (@SDSheriff and @SDSheriffIB).

Classes at Imperial Beach Charter School will not be affected because school is not currently in session.
