JPD invites citizens to join Latino Liaison Advisory Committee
The Janesville Police Department Latino Liaison Advisory Committee serves as an important connection between the Janesville Police Department and Janesville’s Latino Community. The committee, comprised of local citizens, representatives from various community organizations, and members of the Janesville Police Department, meets bi-annually to discuss current concerns in the Latino Community. This communication is essential to assure that all citizens are served equally by the police department.
The next meeting will be held Monday, October 8th, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. at the Janesville Police Department. Interested citizens are invited to attend the meeting.
The Janesville Police Department directs considerable resources to problem-solving approaches. The LLAC facilitates this perspective by giving better insight to the unique concerns and needs of the Latino community. The LLAC offers the unique opportunity for police leaders and Latino community members to work together to provide for a safe, orderly and welcoming community.
