The FCC and FEMA will be testing the Emergency Alert System Nationwide today, Wednesday October 3rd.
The test will run from 2:18 PM to 2:48 PM.
Cellphones will receive a text message 1 time. The text will read:
PRESIDENTIAL ALERT
THIS IS A TEST of the National Wireless emergency Alert System. No action is needed.
Your phone will emit a loud tone and vibration as part of the test.
