On Saturday, Sept. 29, 2018, the Santa Clara Police Department was made aware of a possible embezzlement that had occurred at the Santa Clara Swim Club, a nonprofit organization. The Club’s Board of Directors alleges that John Bitter, who was the chief executive officer at the time, misappropriated at least $600,000 in funds.
Our investigators are actively looking into the allegation and interviewing the involved parties.
