Just as a reminder, there will be a test of the presidential alert system this afternoon. It is scheduled to take place at 2:18 PM Eastern / 1:18 PM Central.
This is just a test of the system. No actual emergency is taking place at this time.
The alert should display on any phone capable of displaying emergency alerts, as long as it is turned on and is connected to a cell tower. It may take a few minutes to reach all phones.
