Lt. Lee & Mayor Marathe worked ALL day with the DOT to adjust lights, left turn lights and cone off areas affected by the OTR Bridge Closure.
Left turn lights have been extended during both rush periods and crews have been out putting up extra signs and making timing adjustments. This is an ongoing and fluid plan where adjustments will be made based on changes in volume and usage. Each day we will work with DOT to make things the best possible based on the given pattern.
I ask that you use extra patience with your fellow drivers and pedestrians as they are experiencing the same issues you are. We are all working together to make this repair as painless as possible. This may be the time to learn a new way which may take you past your favorite coffee establishment for a well deserved breakfast treat to make that commute a little better. (Pumpkin Spice????)
