Press Release: Burglary Arrest

ACCUSED: Aaron J. Zebede 30-year-old Male // Ocean, New Jersey
NARRATIVE:
On September 24th, at approximately 10:30 pm, an unknown subject forced entry in to the Gianni’s Pizzeria located on Monmouth Road. Once inside the subject took an undisclosed amount of cash. The business was closed for the night at the time of the entry. Further investigation by the responding officers revealed that the business video surveillance system was able to depict a basic description of the subject but his identity was not known at the time.
On September 30th, 2018 an employee of the pizzeria noticed a subject outside the business fitting the description observed on surveillance footage several days before and contacted police. Officer Charles Weinkofsky responded and subsequently located the subject, later identified as Aaron Zebede in a nearby neighborhood. Further investigation by Detectives Jesse Orbach and Michael Legg determined that Zebede was responsible for the burglary on September 24th. He was charged with burglary, theft, criminal attempt and was transported to the county jail pending his initial court appearance.
