The East Chicago Police Dept. would like to remind the community that due to the ongoing construction and improvements throughout the city to be mindful when parking your vehicles on the street. Be aware of the temporary "NO PARKING" signs posted with designated days of the week. If your vehicle is in violation, IT WILL BE TOWED at the owner's expense. In addition, citations will be issued for parking on the wrong side of the street/against traffic. Thank you for your cooperation.

Dont forget The EC Fire Dept. is hosting their annual open house on Saturday, Oct 6th 2018 from 10am to 2pm.  There will be a DJ, food, prizes, and more so please be sure to mark your calendars for a day of fun at the East Chicago Fire Dept.

Compost Collection Schedule
DISTRICTS: 1,2,3 compost will be collected on Mondays and Thursdays

DISTRICTS: 4,5,6 compost will be collected on Tuesdays and Fridays
Please place all compost in trash bags or compost approved bags, and then place bags on curbside.
