North Brunswick Police Department has an important message for you regarding a new available service-

We are happy to offer another service to the community, one that will keep people safe from illegally obtained prescriptions, while also being better for our environment.

The North Brunswick Police Department announced today a partnership with The Rite Aid Foundation’s Safe Medication Disposal Program, a public safety initiative focused on reducing drug accessibility, medication misuse and accidental poisoning among children and adolescents. Funded by The Rite Aid Foundation’s KidCents program, the Safe Medication Disposal Program provides law enforcement agencies in communities served by Rite Aid with free medication disposal units for citizens to safely dispose of expired or unwanted prescription and over-the-counter medications.

Anyone with unused or unwanted medications can now bring those to our Police Department, located at 710 Hermann Road. Walking in to our lobby, they can deposit these drugs into the secure medication drop box located there. These items will then be destroyed in a safe manner, preventing abuse. This is available 24/7/365.
