Deputies arrest Benjamin Winslow of Yucaipa for vehicle theft and possession of a stolen vehicle

LOCATION: Chrysolite Avenue/Capri Avenue, Mentone
SUSPECT(S): Benjamin Winslow, age 60 a resident of Yucaipa
VICTIM(S):
SUMMARY: On Monday, October 1st, at approximately 12:02 am, Deputy Silva was patrolling in the unincorporated community of Mentone when he observed a white GMC camper van that matched the description of one that had been stolen from the city of Yucaipa the prior afternoon. A records check confirmed the vehicle was listed as stolen. Deputies conducted a traffic stop and detained the driver, later identified as Benjamin Winslow, without incident. At the conclusion of the investigation, Winslow was arrested and booked into the Central Detention Center for vehicle theft and possession of a stolen vehicle.
