Gang member arrested with two guns and narcotics for sales by Pomona Police Major Crimes Task Force
Suspect:
Santana, Joe, a 45-Year-Old Pomona Resident
Narrative:
On Friday, September 28, 2018, around 8:00 PM, members of the Pomona Police Department’s Major Crimes Task Force were conducting high visibility patrol in the area of Reservoir St. and Holt Av.. Officers made a traffic stop for a minor vehicle code violation. Officers made contact with the solo occupant who was identified as Suspect Santana. Officers learned Suspect Santana was on active parole and a documented Pomona gang member. Officers conducted a parole compliance check of Suspect Santana’s vehicle and located hidden narcotics that were packaged for sales.
During the course of this investigation, officers obtained a search warrant for Suspect Santana’s residence. During the service of the search warrant, officers located two guns and additional narcotics.
Suspect Santana was arrested on the above listed charges and booked at the Pomona city jail.
