A resident in the 6400 block of White Street heard her outdoor patio furniture being moved around in the backyard of her home. When she looked outside, she saw a man that she did not know, looking into her window. The homeowner confronted the man, later identified as Kyle Ramirez (31 years old, Simi Valley). Ramirez looked startled and fled the area running through several backyards in the neighborhood. Responding officers set up a perimeter in an effort to find Ramirez.

Shortly after arriving, one of the officers noticed Ramirez on the roof of a home near the intersection of Jonesboro and Keystone. The officers ordered Ramirez down from the roof and took him into custody without incident.

Further investigation revealed that Ramirez is on state parole. He was booked into the Ventura County Jail for prowling and placed on a parole hold.

During Ramirez's attempt to flee, he ran through several backyards in the area and may have discarded items.
