The Flash Flood Watch is now in effect for
* Portions of central Alabama, northeast Alabama, northwest Alabama, and west central Alabama, including the following areas, in central Alabama, Blount, Jefferson, St. Clair, and Walker. In northeast Alabama, Cherokee and Etowah. In northwest Alabama, Marion and Winston. In west central Alabama, Fayette, Lamar, Pickens, and Tuscaloosa.
* Through Thursday evening
* Heavy rainfall has already occurred along portions of the I-59 corridor. Rainfall amounts of 1-3 inches have been reported within the watch area. Heavy rainfall will be possible into Thursday and flash flooding remains a threat.
* AFFECTED AREAS: ETOWAH ... ST. CLAIR ... WINSTON ... CHEROKEE ... FAYETTE ... WALKER ... BLOUNT ... TUSCALOOSA ... MARION ... PICKENS ... JEFFERSON ... LAMAR
