Flash Flood Watch until 07:00AM Thursday
The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a
* Flash Flood Watch for portions of central Alabama, northeast Alabama, northwest Alabama, and west central Alabama, including the following areas, in central Alabama, Blount and Walker. In northeast Alabama, Cherokee and Etowah. In northwest Alabama, Marion and Winston. In west central Alabama, Fayette and Lamar.
* Through Thursday morning.
* Heavy rainfall will be possible along and ahead of slow moving cold front. This rain will be very efficient and could produce 1 to 2 inches in a very short time, with locally higher totals. Stay tuned for updates to locations as well as possible warnings through the period.
* AFFECTED AREAS: ETOWAH ... WINSTON ... CHEROKEE ... FAYETTE ... WALKER ... BLOUNT ... MARION ... LAMAR
