IF YOU COULD DO SOMETHING TO HELP SIMI VALLEY STAY SAFE WOULD YOU?
The Simi Valley Police Department would like to invite the community to begin or revisit the Neighborhood Watch program. The NW program is neighbors mutually watching out for each other simply by: See Something, Say Something. The NW meeting will address how and when to call the police, local crime trends, how to receive alerts via social media and other issues which pertain to our city.
Does your neighborhood have an ongoing issue you would like to address? Would you like to be PROACTIVE as opposed to REACTIVE? If so, come to a NW meeting.
Neighborhood Watch does not promote vigilantism; residents are never asked to put themselves in harm’s way to investigate or prevent crime. Residents should only observe and report suspicious activities to the Simi Valley Police Department at (805) 583-6950.
Neighborhood Watch meetings are being held at the Simi Valley Police Department, Emergency Operations Center (EOC) located at 3901 Alamo Street, Simi Valley, starting Wednesday, October 3rd, 2018 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 pm.
Experience has shown the greater the involvement and interest of the neighborhood residents the more effective the group will be in achieving its primary goal, which is making the neighborhood a safer, more attractive place to live.
If you, and your neighbors, are interested in attending a meeting, the following dates are available. Wednesday evenings, October 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th, and November 7th, 14th, and 28th, 2018.
Please RSVP and ask questions by contacting Crime Prevention Specialist Jean-Marie Maroshek at [email protected] or at (805) 583-6276. NW fliers are available by email requests.
