Flash Flood Watch until 05:00PM Wednesday

Periods of moderate to heavy rain through late Wednesday. The Flash Flood Watch is now in effect for

* Portions of northeast Kentucky, southeast Ohio, and West Virginia, including the following areas, in northeast Kentucky, Boyd, Carter, Greenup, and Lawrence KY. In southeast Ohio, Gallia and Lawrence OH. In West Virginia, Braxton, Cabell, Calhoun, Clay, Doddridge, Gilmer, Harrison, Jackson WV, Kanawha, Lewis, Lincoln, Mason, Putnam, Ritchie, Roane, Wayne, and Wirt.

* Through Wednesday afternoon

* Soils across the area are nearly saturated due to previous rainfall. Additional showers and thunderstorms, some with heavy rain, are expected to affect the area through late Wednesday.

* Flash flooding of creeks, streams and low lying areas will be possible.
