Water main break in the vicinity of Nash Parkway, Morning Street, Green Street, Indigo Hill Road, Main Street and portion of Franklin St

City residents urged to limit water use during next 24-48 hours. City crews responding to a water main break

City of Somersworth Department of Public Works and Utilities personnel have been investigating a drop in water storage capacity over the past several hours. Crews are in the process of locating a water main break in the vicinity of Nash Parkway, Morning Street, Green Street, Indigo Hill Road, Main Street and portion of Franklin Street. During this investigation work there may be temporary water service interruptions as crews worked to isolate and repair the segment of water main that needs repair.

The water break has temporarily impacted the City's storage capacity. All Somersworth water customers throughout the City are urged to limit and conserve water use over the next 24-48 hours while City utility crews work to correct the water loss.

As utility crews complete the main repair and water is restored, customers in the affected area, may notice brown water, fluctuating water pressure and air in water lines. Please notify the Water Treatment Plant at 603-692-2268 should the problem persists for excessive periods.
