Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau detectives are investigating the shooting death and injury of two male adults, which occurred on September 15, 2018 at approximately 8:32 p.m. on the 2000 block of N. Wilmington Ave., in the city of Compton.
Detectives have learned that deputies assigned to Compton Station responded to the location regarding a gunshot victim call. Upon their arrival, they located one male adult who had sustained a gunshot wound to his upper torso. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
A secondary male adult also sustained a gunshot wound to the lower portion of his body and was transported to a local hospital where he was listed in stable condition.
There is no suspect information at this time and no known motive for the crime.
The investigation is ongoing and there is no additional information available at this time.

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau detectives are responding to the 2000 Block of N. Wilmington Ave., Compton, to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a male adult.
The male victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
A second adult male was also injured by gunfire at the location and was transported to a local hospital in stable condition.
The investigation is ongoing and there is no additional information available at this time.
