After further investigation, it was determined that the two suspects inside Wells Fargo Bank were attempting to pass fraudulent checks. One of the bank tellers notified another employee, via note, to call the police. The call to 9-1-1 came in as a bank robbery in progress.
 
Both suspects were booked into Marin County Jail for burglary, making/passing ficticiuos checks, and conspiciacy to commit a crime. They were identified as:
 
DEMETRIOUS LAMONT HAYDEN out of Richmond, CA
 
ALBERT FRANK SULLIVAN, JR out of Sacramento, CA

On Tuesday, September 18, 2018, at 2:13 PM, Mill Valley Police Department received a report of a bank robbery at Wells Fargo Bank, located at 18 Miller Avenue. MVPD was advised there were two male adult suspects. One of the supects was reported to still be inside the bank, and one suspect was reported to have left the area on foot heading towards Old Mill Park.  
 
MVPD Officer Medeiros arrived on-scene and took the one suspect who was at the bank into custody.
 
With all the information given, Old Mill School was briefly placed into lock-down.
 
Sergeant Heisinger, based on a description given, quickly located the second suspect in the area of Throckmorton Avenue at Old Mill Park and took him into custody.
 
Old Mill School was contacted and the lock-down was lifted.
 
MVPD was assisted by Tiburon Police Department, Marin County Sheriff’s Department, and Sausalito Police Department.
