September 11th:

Auto Theft – 3000 Yolo Ave:
At 1007 hours, an officer reported the theft of a red 1990 Toyota Camry. The vehicle was stolen sometime overnight.

Warrant – 500 block Bonnie Dr:
At 2125 hours, an officer recognized a 25-year-old El Cerrito man who was wanted on a Sonoma County warrant. He was arrested, booked at the ECPD, and then transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Warrant – BART Path / Blake Ave:
At 0029 hrs, an officer contacted a 47-year-old transient male along the BART Path behind Safeway. The man was wanted on a Tulare County warrant and subsequently received a citation in the field.

Vandalism – 7400 block Stockton Ave:
At 0342 hrs, an unknown suspect broke the left front window of the victim’s vehicle, but no entry was made.

September 12th:
Shoplifting - Walgreen’s, 11565 San Pablo Ave:
At 0917 hours, an officer responded to the report of a shoplifting. Officers learned an unknown female loaded up a basket with cosmetics and fled the store.

Shoplifting – Warrant Arrest - CVS, 670 EC Plaza.
At 0947 hours, an officer responded to the report of a shoplifting that just occurred. Upon arrival, an officer located a 32-year-old transient man behind Lucky’s. The man was identified by witnesses, placed under arrest for theft and an outstanding warrant, and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Shoplifting & Vandalism: Dollar Store, 11555 San Pablo Ave:
At 0949 hours, an officer responded to the report of a shoplifting where the suspect loaded up a large quantity of candy in his backpack. The store manager locked the doors, trapping the suspect inside. The suspect kicked the doors repeatedly, bending the rails and causing significant damage. The manager and the security guard tried to detain him, however he fled on foot. He was seen by officers fleeing on his bicycle into Booker T. Anderson Park but eluded capture.

Stolen Vehicle Recovered – Lincoln Ave / BART Path:
At 1949 hours, an officer located a white 1994 Honda Accord which was reported stolen to the San Pablo Police Department on 9/11/18.

Warrant, Possess a Controlled Substance without a Prescription – Central Ave / Lexington Ave:
At 2237 hours, an officer responded to a call of a man down and located a 25-year-old man from El Sobrante. The man took Xanax earlier without a prescription and had another Xanax pill on him. He was also wanted on a Colma warrant. He was arrested, booked at the ECPD, and then released on a citation.

Resist or Delay Officer, Possess Drug Paraphernalia – Lassen St / Yosemite Ave:
At 0306 hours, an officer attempted to stop a 26-year-old bicyclist from Oakland who committed a traffic violation. The man fled but was eventually detained and arrested. He was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia during a search incident to arrest. He was transported to the ECPD, booked, and then released on a citation.

September 13th:

Commercial Burglary: Jamba Juice, 5030 EC Plaza:
At 0555 hours, an officer responded to the report of an alarm. Once on scene, officers determined that a suspect pried the back door to gain access to the business, but there was no loss.

Warrant Arrest - 11060 San Pablo Ave:
At 0959 hours, an officer conducted a traffic stop and contacted the driver, a 53-year-old male, who was a Greenbrae resident. The man was arrested for a warrant, booked, and then transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Possess Controlled Substance, Drug Paraphernalia – El Cerrito Plaza:
At 1856 hours, an officer investigated a suspicious vehicle and arrested a 22-year-old man for possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. He was booked at the ECPD and released on a citation.

Stolen Vehicle – El Cerrito Plaza:
Between 1325 and 2040 hours, an unknown suspect stole the victim’s gold 1998 Nissan Maxima.

September 14th

Warrant Arrest – S. 52nd Street / Potrero Avenue:
At 0015 hours, an officer contacted a 29-year-old Oakland man during a traffic stop and arrested him on an Alameda County traffic warrant. The man was later transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

September 15th

Theft Report – Sprint Store 3020 El Cerrito Plaza:
At approximately 1552 hours, three unknown suspects ripped three phones from the display counter and fled.

Warrant Arrest – San Pablo Avenue / Cutting Boulevard:
At 1854 hours, an officer contacted a 36-year-old Hayward man during a traffic stop and arrested him on an Alameda County warrant. The man was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Possession of a Stolen Vehicle – 11645 San Pablo Avenue (Freeway Motel):
At 2036 hours, an officer responded to an unknown disturbance call and located a 31-year-old Richmond man and 26-year-old Vallejo woman. While investigating, officers learned the male was in possession of a vehicle which was reported stolen to the San Pablo PD late last month. The man was arrested and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Recovered Stolen Vehicle – S. 53rd Street / Cypress Avenue:
At 0008 hours, an officer located a white Ford F150 which had been reported stolen to the Richmond PD two days earlier. The owner of the pickup met with the officer and took possession of his vehicle.

September 16th

Evade Police, Resist Arrest, Probation Violation – San Pablo Avenue / Cutting Boulevard:
At 2214 hours, an officer attempted to stop a 22-year-old San Francisco man on a bicycle. The man failed to stop and led officers on a brief chase before being captured. The man was also on two counts of probation. The man was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Warrant Arrest – San Pablo Avenue / Hill Street:
At 0248 hours, an officer contacted a 59-year-old Santa Rosa man during a traffic stop and arrested him on a Sonoma County warrant. The man was issued a citation with a new court date and released in the field.
