Atlanta New Earth Festival Expected to Increase Traffic in Northern Hamilton County this Weekend 
The Atlanta New Earth Festival takes place this weekend, September 22 and 23, bringing with it an influx of traffic and visitors to northern Hamilton County. Most streets in Atlanta close Saturday from 8AM-6PM and again Sunday from 8AM-5PM. Vendors begin setting up on Friday.
Travelers in the northern part of the county, especially on SR 19 and 296th Street (600 South in Tipton County) should expect increased traffic and possible congestion throughout the weekend. The Sheriff's Office will have deputies assisting with traffic and parking as well as security throughout the event.
