Advisory

Lock It or Lose It-Thefts from vehicles and garages

On Saturday, September 15, 2018, shortly before 7 am the Middleton Police Department began receiving calls about property crimes that had occurred overnight in the Stonefield neighborhood. The following incidents have been reported:

-6500 block of Woodgate Road – a vehicle in the driveway was entered and the garage was opened using the opener in the vehicle
-1200 block of Boundary Road – two packages were taken from the front porch
-6300 block of Briarcliff Lane – a white 2015 Honda Accord was stolen from the driveway
-1500 Windfield Way – the garage was entered and two vehicles parked inside were entered but nothing was taken

There was no evidence of forced entry in any of these incidents. The Middleton Police Department encourages our residents to take measures to prevent these crimes from happening. This would include:

-Lock your vehicles even when they are in your driveway or in your garage
-Lock your house, including all garage access doors and the door leading from your garage to your house
-Make sure your garage doors are closed when you are not nearby

If you know anything about any of these crimes, or if you ever see or hear anything suspicious, please call or text Middleton Police at 608-824-7300 or leave a message on our confidential tipster line at 608-824-7304.
