City of Somersworth Announcement

City of Somersworth Street Construction Notice - West High Street - Week of September 17
Traffic and Water use will be affected
The City of Somersworth has contracted with Severino Trucking Inc. to replace a drainage culvert pipe on West High Street near RonWyn Drive. Work is scheduled to begin on Monday September 17 and be complete by Friday September 21. The replacement work will require the road to be closed at this location during work periods. Traffic on W. High Street will be detoured around the site by using either Maple Street for those vehicles traveling easterly and to Cemetery Road for those vehicles traveling westerly. Electronic Message Board signs are in place on West High Street announcing the road closure/detour plans. Plans are to reopen the street at the end of each work day.
The work will include shutting down water mains on West High Street and RonWyn Drive and will affect about 45 customers. This shut down will not affect the SAU 56 building or any of the school buildings or grounds water supply. Customers who will be affected by this shut down will be notified 48 hours in advance of the work. We expect this shut down to occur during midday hours and may last up to 6 hours.
Questions about these road and utility improvements may be directed to the Department of Public Works and Utilities at 603-692-4266 or to the City Manager's Office at 603-692-9503.
