9-11 Remembrance
Dayshift officers joined Fremont Fire personnel at several fire stations to pay respect and honor the public safety professionals and victims of 9-11.  We will never forget.

#029 Warrant Arrest
Officer Gonzales spotted a known male driving a brown vehicle in the area of Country Drive and Bronson Street. Officer Gonzales was aware the male had a felony no bail warrant out of the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office.  The vehicle stopped abruptly before Officer Gonzales activated his emergency lights. Based on the warrant coupled with a second incident involving a pistol the night before the male was a involved in, he detained the male after he exited the vehicle without being asked to do so. He was taken into custody and on the warrant in addition to being found in possession of burglary tools and smoking paraphernalia (pipe), which was located in the vehicle during a search consistent with his probation.  A probation violation was also added to the list of charges.
 
Homeless/Transient Related Calls for Service:
7:19 a.m. – 41900 block of Fremont Blvd. Caller reported a male transient entered a vacant building and suspected drug activity was taking place.  Officers arrived and the building was vacant.  City of Fremont Maintenance was contacted regarding  securing broken windows in the building. 

7:42 a.m. – Mowry/Paseo Padre Pkwy- A male was reportedly walking in/out of traffic.  He had left the area by the time officers arrived.

11:00 a.m. – City Hall (3300 Capitol Ave) – A delivery person was reported to be in an argument in front of City Hall with a female transient.  Officers conducted a security check of the area, and nothing further was required. 

1:07 p.m. – Western Dental – A female transient was sleeping in the hallway of the business.  She was contacted by officers and asked to move along.

#024 Trespassing - Sergeant McCormick detained a subject at 7-Eleven (Fremont Bl/Sundale Dr) and issued a trespass notice.
 
#027 Trespassing - Officers responded to Trader Joes regarding a transient female with a juvenile begging in front of the store. The female is detained and issued a trespass notice.
 
2:20 p.m. – Farwell Dr./Stevenson Blvd. – A male was behind a business with several full shopping carts.  It appeared he had an encampment.  MET officers responded, make contact, documented the items with photos and let the male know, it would all be forwarded to the City’s Environmental Services/Code Enforcement Department as well as ABODE.
 
2:56 p.m. – HSBC Bank Fremont- A female was sitting in front of the bank with a lot of her personal items scattered about.  She refused to leave when management contacted her, however she was gone by the time officers arrived.
 
5:41 p.m. – Target (HUB) – A male was in the area of the vehicle charging station walking in front of moving vehicles.  The caller was worried about his safety and welfare.  He was gone by the time officers arrived.
 
9:45 p.m. – Walgreens (Mowry Ave)- A transient male approached a male sitting in his vehicle and attempted to open the doors of his car.  The caller asked the male what he needed and he asked for a ride to the police station.  Officers arrived, made contact and nothing further was needed.
 
9:52 p.m. – Chili’s – Employees reported a male refusing to leave.  Officers arrived and determined the male was in need of medical care.  An ambulance was called and nothing further was required of our offices.
