Advisory

Sun Prairie Police Dept. asking public’s help with preventing theft and stolen vehicles

The Sun Prairie Police Department is urging members of our community to keep their vehicles locked when they are not occupied. Our city and surrounding communities continue to receive reports of thefts from unlocked vehicles and theft of vehicles themselves.

We urge you not to leave your vehicle unlocked at any time. Please make sure to remove any valuables from your vehicles such as keys, money, purses, wallets, electronic goods, etc.

We urge you to make sure all of your doors and windows are locked at your residence, especially when you are not home.

We also ask you to report any suspicious activity, whether at a residence or business. This includes persons attempting to pull on vehicle door handles, looking into windows, etc.

The Sun Prairie Police Department thanks you for your assistance!
