The threat from Hurricane Florence is still several days away, and the uncertainty to the storms exact path or how it may or may not affect our area has yet to be determined.

Public Works will try to get out in front of any potential heavy rains by collecting leaves in the Old Orchard area starting tomorrow (9/11/2018), weather permitting, to help reduce the impact that the leaves already piled in the streets would have in blocking storm sewer inlets.

Residents should refrain from placing any additional leaves in the street once crews have gone by until the threat from Hurricane Florence, or any tropical remnants of her has passed.
