Flood Warning until 09:45PM

The National Weather Service in Sterling Virginia has extended the

* Flood Warning for... Washington County in north central Maryland... Northeastern Frederick County in northwestern Virginia... Central Jefferson County in the Panhandle of West Virginia... Morgan County in the Panhandle of West Virginia... Berkeley County in the Panhandle of West Virginia... Northeastern Hampshire County in eastern West Virginia...

* Until 945 PM EDT Sunday.

* At 305 PM EDT, reporting gauges indicated flooding across the area. The stream gauge on Opequon Creek at Bunker Hill is indicating a river stage of 4.61 feet. At 4.25 feet, Henshaw Road is flooded under Interstate 81. Other streams in the area may also be experiencing flooding. Two to three inches of rain have already fallen, with light to moderate rainfall continuing across the area, up to an additional inch of rainfall will be possible through this evening.

* Some locations that may experience flooding include... Hagerstown, Martinsburg, Shepherdstown, Hancock, Paw Paw, Municipal Stadium, Greenwood, Robinwood, Fountainhead-Orchard Hills, Ranson, Boonsboro, Smithsburg, Inwood, Paramount-Long Meadow, Wilson-Conococheague, Williamsport, Berkeley Springs, Mount Aetna, Mount Lena and San Mar.

* AFFECTED AREAS: BERKELEY, WV ... MORGAN, WV ... JEFFERSON, WV ... HAMPSHIRE, WV ... FREDERICK, VA ... WASHINGTON, MD

Instructions:

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. All interested parties should take necessary precautions immediately.
