The National Weather Service in Memphis has issued a
* Flood Advisory for... South central Weakley County in northwestern Tennessee... Gibson County in northwestern Tennessee... Northwestern Carroll County in northwestern Tennessee...
* Until 630 PM CDT.
* At 437 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause minor flooding in the advisory area. Up to one and a half inches of rain have already fallen.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include... Humboldt, Milan, Trenton, Bradford, Atwood, Medina, Trezevant, Gibson, Tuckers Corner, Gibson Wells, Good Luck, Cades, New Enterprise, Ledbetter, Staffords Store, Sitka, Brazil, Vaughns Grove, Barrons Corner and Gann. Additional rainfall of 1 to 2 inches is expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
* AFFECTED AREAS: CARROLL, TN ... WEAKLEY, TN ... GIBSON, TN
Instructions:
Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other drainage areas and low lying spots. A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
