Flash Flood Warning until 09:45AM

The National Weather Service in Fort Worth has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for... Southeastern Denton County in north central Texas...

* Until 945 AM CDT..

* At 742 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated very heavy rain between Highland Village and Lewisville including Interstate 35E. This area of heavy rainfall is nearly stationary. Up to three inches of rain have already fallen. This rainfall will lead to excessive water runoff and cause flash flooding. Low-lying areas are most vulnerable to rapidly rising water. Some low-water crossings may flood and become impassable. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area.

* AFFECTED AREAS: DENTON, TX

Instructions:

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.
