2 motorcyclists injured after traffic collision with an SUV 
INCIDENT: Major Injury Traffic Collision
LOCATION: Oak Glen Road at Interstate 10 E/B On-Ramp
DRIVER (MOTORCYCLE) - Jerry Mahr, 59-year-old resident of Moreno Valley
PASSENGER (MOTORCYCLE) – Susan Malhiot, 57-year-old resident of Moreno Valley
DRIVER (SUV) – Brandie O’Neill, 38-year-old resident of Yucaipa
SUMMARY:
On Thursday, September 6, 2018, a traffic collision occurred on Live Oak Canyon Road at the onramp to Interstate 10 east in the city of Yucaipa.
Deputies from the Yucaipa Station responded to the location at approximately 10:40 AM. They located a motorcycle and SUV that had been involved in a collision. Medical assistance was called to the scene, and the two occupants of the motorcycle were transported to a local hospital for treatment of major injuries. The driver of the SUV was not injured.
The area was closed for several hours while deputies processed the collision scene and the cause of the collision is under investigation by the Yucaipa Police Department's Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT).
