The National Weather Service in Fort Worth has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for... Southeastern Denton County in north central Texas... Southwestern Collin County in north central Texas... North central Dallas County in north central Texas...

* Until 715 PM CDT..

* At 521 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. A rain gauge near Addison has indicates 2.36 inches of rain has fallen in the last 30 minutes, and an additional 1 to 2 inches of rain will be possible over the next hour. This rainfall will lead to excessive water runoff and cause flash flooding. Low-lying areas are most vulnerable to rapidly rising water. Some low-water crossings may flood and become impassable.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include... Plano, Garland, Carrollton, Frisco, Richardson, Lewisville, Allen, The Colony, Farmers Branch, Addison, Hebron and Buckingham.

* AFFECTED AREAS: COLLIN, TX ... DALLAS, TX ... DENTON, TX
