A heat advisory is in effect today until 7:00PM. As a result the North Brunswick Cooling Centers will be open today. High temperatures are expected to reach the low to mid 90s today, with a peak heat index of 95-100+ expected. Temperatures will cool down into the low 70s overnight
The Office of Emergency Management advises residents that the North Brunswick Library (880 Hermann Road) and the North Brunswick Senior Center (15 Linwood Place) have been designated as cooling centers.

Today 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM
Please take it easy if working outdoors, drink plenty of water and seek shade when possible. Wear light weight clothing. Never leave people or pets in a closed car. Also, check on family members and neighbors.
Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. Anyone overcome by the heat should by moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke is an emergency .....Call 9-1-1.
